Hi beautiful people!
Spring has started to sprung here in Chicago (knock on wood!) and as we’ve discussed it has got me craving lighter layers and bolder colors.
To kick off our return to sunnier days and bluer skies I want to share some spring-time inspirations and things I’m dying to add to my wardrobe this season.
From your classic maxi dress to pops of yellow, here are my 12 things for spring 2016!
Stripes are my go-to no matter the season, but I’m especially intrigued by the long lines of the vertical variety and I ADORE the stripe-on-stripe mash-up on the left. Well played, Olivia.
All white ensembles tend to make me nervous as I would – without a doubt – spill, drip, smudge, or wipe something on it. But there’s something so refreshing about an all white look that I may take the risk anyway. #YOLO
Again, I’ve never been a big pencil skirt kind of girl, but I really like the mid-calf lengths on these two fabulous ladies. Paired with a simple top and sandals – casual chic at it’s finest.
Sometimes I like to tap into my more bohemian side, especially during the warmer weather months. Embroidered dresses and printed tunics are my jam.
I know what you’re thinking – pastels for spring…groundbreaking 😉 But after all the blacks and dark greys of winter I need something to lighten things up and this light blue hue does the trick.
Purples, pinks, corals, and reds! If there’s one beauty trend I make a habit of this spring it’s bold lips all the way!
I’ve decided camel and white are the ultimate spring color combo. It’s warm, it’s light, and it instantly ups the chic factor of any ensemble.
Dressed up with heels or worn casually with flats, these dresses are both elegant and fun.
Skinny jeans will always have a place in my closet, but this season I’m determined to find the perfect pair of flares.
This one is a no-brainer. Maxis that gracefully move with your body are an essential in my book.
In case it wasn’t already apparent….I really like stripes.
I always look for one signature pop of color and this year it’s bright and sunny yellow.
Now I’m flipping it over to you – What are you inspired by and craving to add to your wardrobe this spring?
