Hi guys and gals,
The time has come. I’ve been beating around the bush for far too long, hemming and hawing about whether to fully share my new venture with you all.
It was mostly due to the fact that I wasn’t 100% clear on what exactly my new venture was, and to be honest, it’s still a work in progress.
But something that I’ve learned from BSchool, a concept that keeps popping up in front of me no matter how hard I try to ignore it, is that clarity comes from taking action.
And while I’ve been fully active in doing the work in BSchool and setting a foundation for this new adventure, I haven’t been taking action in sharing it with others. Because, again, I was still unclear on what it was I wanted to share.
However the more I’ve discussed my ideas with the wonderful women in my mastermind group and fellow BSchoolers, the more and more things began to click.
Clarity comes from taking action. I know this to be true because I am living and breathing this truth right now.
I’m realizing it’s better to be working towards something – even if you don’t know entirely what that something is – than to wait around for the light bulb to go off in your mind.
Even as I started putting this post together I felt more at ease and clear on what I wanted to say. And I realized it’s not at all as scary as I was making it out to be in my head.
So, without further ado, I want to share some new things that are currently going on in my business life right now.
First off, what am I actually doing?
I’m working on becoming a coach.
What kind of coach?
Ehh, that’s where things get a little hazy.
I don’t want to lump myself in the general group of ‘life coach’, because there’s so much that goes into that four-letter word ‘life’, it’s too general to say I’m a life coach, cause really – what does that mean?
What I can tell you is how I’ve slowly, but surely uncovered my passion for self-expression, creativity, and (my new mantra) living what you love.
That I believe joy (something I try to live and breath every day) comes from fully embracing who you are (and I do mean fully, even the messy bits) and expressing your true self in everything you do.
And that as a coach, I want to help budding entrepreneurs, bloggers, and creatives blend who they are with what they do in order to fully express themselves in the look, feel, and spirit of their business and life.
Specifically, I want to help them establish authentic branding for their business or blog as well as create vibrant, original content that will help their business grow and stand out from the crowd.
There’s a saying that joy is the vibration of love. It’s a beautiful definition and I believe in it wholeheartedly, because, to me, joy comes from doing, being, and living what you love.
The concept of joy is a pillar for the foundation of my coaching business, as I feel called (which is such a strong word and I feel weird using it, but it’s true) to help others see and bring more joy into their lives.
Which brings me to some new and exciting things I’ve put together.
First – I have a new site! Or at least I’m in the process of building a new site
Avec Ashlei is my new space on the world wide web. It’s a single page site at the moment while I finish putting together all the other bells and whistles, but you can visit it right now!
In fact, I encourage you to stop by and sign up for my email list because not only will you be the first to know when the full site is officially up and running, but you’ll also receive a fun project I put together called the 10 Days of Joy Challenge.
It’s exactly what the title says – a 10 day challenge designed to add more joy and positivity to your every day.
It’s only available by signing up for my Avec Ashlei email list, so get on it!
I had so much fun putting it together and I hope you’ll have just as much fun participating.
There’s still a long way to go. But with each forward step I take I feel more confident and more excited about what’s to come.
I keep forgetting that it’s only the end of March. I am shocked and amazed at how much growth I’ve personally seen in just 3 months.
As I sign off for the day, the one thing I’d like to leave you with is this – if you’re currently in a place with your blog, business, or just life in general where you’re unsure of what to do next and you’re wavering between decisions. The best advice I can give you is to just commit to something and go.
Run with it, whatever it is. If it doesn’t work out, it’s okay, you’ll learn from it, you’ll become clearer on what you want and don’t want. And at the end of it all, at least you DID SOMETHING.
Remember, clarity comes from taking action.
Thanks so much for reading.
P.S. seriously though, my 10 Days of Joy Challenge is pretty kick ass – sign up here to get it!
