Christmas is this week! Can you believe it? Where the heck did December go?
If you’re anything like me, you may still be running around trying to get the perfect last minute gift.
But for today’s post, I want you to take a moment and pause on your Christmas celebrations to consider another holiday that’s quickly approaching – New Year’s Eve.
Yep, can you believe we’ll be heading into a whole new year?!
I’ll confess, I’m ready to say goodbye to 2014 and therefore extra excited to ring in this new year.
While DCT and I don’t have set plans just yet, I already have several outfits in mind for any possible occasion 😉 It’s the one time of the year where I will fully indulge in the cliche of wearing sequins – and love every minute of it.
NYE is always a night when I put extra effort into playing around with my style and look forward to trying something different.
Don’t get me wrong, I love a slinky little party dress just as much as the next person, but something about this night of celebration makes me want to celebrate and turn up the unique characteristics of my style.
Take these sequin joggers for example – I’ll be real, I could easily wear these pants everyday, but they’re especially fun for NYE.
Now let’s talk about the real stars of this look – the accessories. As they say, accessories can make or break an outfit, and they totally make it here.
The bright blue turban pops spectacularly against the black and white color palette. Rhinestone stud earrings and a glittery beaded tassel necklace from Wantable’s December collection amp up the glam factor. And you definitely can’t forget to add a bold red lip.
Needless to say I’m pretty obsessed with what I put together and you may see me running around in this again come NYE.
What are you rocking to ring in the new year?
