Hi there guys and gals! Guess who is back?! It was good to take a mini-break form the blog last week and work on getting my mojo back up and running. It was much needed to get used to my new schedule and figure out what will work best for both me and the blog. I’m still fine tuning, but we’re definitely getting there!
Before I start to bore you on the managerial side of blogging, let’s move on to something a little more exciting!
Over the weekend, while watching the Blackhawks dominate the Bruins (sorry to any of my Boston readers ;)) and festival-hopping, a friend and I noticed a particular piece of clothing that seems to be taking over summertime fashions – the maxi dress. Maxi dresses were everywhere this weekend! Now, I shouldn’t be one to complain as I love my maxi dresses, but when you walk down the street and every other girl is wearing a similar style you start to wonder if the market is becoming a little too saturated.
But fear not! I have a solution for those of you who don’t want to blend in with the crowd of maxi’s. Meet my new summer 2013 friend – the palazzo pant! Very similar to the maxi dress/skirt with its light and airy appeal, palazzo pants can be styled as dramatically or casually as you wish. And with the variety of colors and prints you’re bound to find one that works just for you. Don’t believe me? Take a look below and see just a few ways you can style palazzo pants for practically any occasion.
When wearing palazzo pants one of the best ways to style them is by pairing them with a more fitted top. Tuck it in and throw a tailored blazer over top for the perfect summer office-chic look.
Palazzo pants even come in slimmer styles so fabulous curves don’t get lost in mountains of fabric. Pair them with a great heel to make your legs look even longer and leaner.

Don’t shy away from wild prints, they’re perfect for some weekend fun! Especially when paired with a summery crop top and woven wedges.
So what are your thoughts? Have you or are you thinking of trying palazzo pants? Let me know! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! Happy Monday 😉
