It was really hard to get going yesterday. I’ve been slacking hard-core with my outfits these past couple days. I tell myself I’m “taking a break” and end up wearing my pjs/sweatpants all day, and after doing so for a couple days it’s hard to motivate myself to look presentable.
So full disclosure on this outfit: I barely took a shower (read: just washed my face, water only, cold water…) and struggled super hard coming up with this look. This is actually very similar to an outfit you’ve seen here, with slightly different elements. But that is how unmotivated to get dressed I was feeling, my ability to think creatively was nonexistent. I blame the snow for my laziness.
However feelings of cabin fever outweighed my desire to be lazy, so I convinced DCT to take me out to lunch and, unbeknownst to him, take outfit pictures for me.

It was quite a silly photo session as I was feeling slightly delirious, had an attention span of about negative 2, and honestly, I feel a little awkward in front of the camera when a real person is behind it. My tripod, self-timer, and I have truly bonded when it comes to outfit pictures.
Dog – 1
Ashlei’s attention span – 0
In addition, DCT was being quite the demanding photographer, apparently I wasn’t being “animated” enough for him. Which eventually resulted in this…..
literally screaming/whining – “I’m being animated!“
So with that, tomorrow it’s be back to my tripod, who doesn’t talk back when I complain that I’m tired or make ridiculous demands like ‘be more animated’ for your outfit pictures
DCT approved animation.
Hope you’re having a splendid weekend! Thanks for reading!
