Hi everyone! Merry Christmas Eve! I’m officially back in Deutschland and couldn’t be more thrilled to be with my family for the holiday. We spent yesterday at a Christmas Market in a little village by the Mosel river and got nice and tipsy off glasses of gluhwien (my favorite cold weather month beverage) while munching on pomme frites and Belgian waffles. I’ll definitely be sharing pictures from the market and any other adventures we go on during my short time here. So keep your eyes peeled 😉

One thing I’ve discovered from having a personal style blog and reading other blogs is how I’ve become much more willing to try different styles than I was in the past. You see a blogger who’s style you admire and find inspiration from and think to yourself, ‘well…maybe I can pull that off too…’, you try it and low-and-behold it works!
For example, this fur stole. If you had asked me this time last winter would I ever wear a fur stole, I’d probably laugh and/or awkwardly shrug while I try to picture in my mind what a stole actually is. But after seeing two of my favorite bloggers Anna from See Jane and Jennifer from Blank White Frames rock one, each in their own way, I knew I had to try it out.
As Jennifer mentions, the key to rocking a fur stole, especially if its in a bright color like hers, is to keep the rest of your look simple. A chambray button up topped with a leather jacket, classic booties, and my new favorite pair of corduroy pants from Rag & Bone add my own stylistic touch. This look can easily be taken from a casual work day to happy hour cocktails to running weekend errands. Got to love a look with that much versatility.
What do you all think? Could fur stoles become the new fur vest? Hope everyone is having a fun and relaxing holiday!
