Outfitted: Style Mint + Boyfriend Jeans

Hi everyone! Happy Monday, I hope you all had a great weekend! Mine was filled with work & apartment hunting. I know I mentioned before that DCT and I were getting ready for a move, well now we’re officially starting to look and hoping to find something soon :)
On to a different topic, have any of you ever gotten dressed and really liked what you had on, but the second you step out the door you absolutely loath it? Sound crazy? Well that’s exactly what happened to me this weekend. DCT and I were off to look at apartments and I was pretty satisfied with what I had on before we left, however during that 30 seconds spent from leaving the apartment to getting outside, I suddenly hated what I had on. Why? I don’t know, but we were already running late so I had no time to go back and change into something else. Needless to say, I was in a slightly grumpy mood the rest of the afternoon.
When we finally got home and I was able to change, I was trying to rush as it looked like it was going to rain and couldn’t find a thing to wear, which of course just added to my frustration. So I did what I do best when my level of frustration is super high…put on some jams and clean. And you know what, after I stepped away and stopped pressuring myself to put an outfit together, I suddenly was able to come up with something! The moral of this story? When you’re struggling to come up with an idea, whether it be an outfit or a solution at work, just take a moment, step away, and focus on something else, you’ll be surprised how quickly your mind with figure out a solution when you’re not trying to force it.
Last but not least, about this outfit! I’ve been living in DCT’s jeans for this past week, something about gloomy weather and boyfriend jeans just seem to go together for me. Add a striped tee, a leather jacket, and my favorite loafers, you’ve got yourself a great lazy Sunday outfit :) I recently purchased this striped tee from Style Mint and I’m really liking it, its comfy, I can see it being pair with various items, and the stripe design is really cool, though you can’t really see it as it started raining as I was taking these pictures so I didn’t get around to taking off my jacket, haha!
Ok, I’m done rambling! I hope everyone enjoys their week! :)
‘Till Next Time…
